Who We Are

Learn more about us and what we do.

Rapha Haven Ltd was formed to provide a high standard of professional services in all aspects of Accommodation, Care and Support. We are Ofsted registered and provide children's residential care services  for 8-17 year olds and a supported living provision (CQC Regulated) for those between 18-65 years of age who may also require personal care.

With our dedicated and trusted staff teams we work around the clock to ensure we provide services that gives those with responsibilities that extra peace of mind. We adopt a person-centred approach and work with families, carers, advocates and other agencies to support people to achieve their goals with creative solutions. Inclusion and participation are important so we involve (where possible) the people we support in designing our service. For example, we run weekly football and basketball groups and organise regular theme park trips. The focus is on the service user's, who we want to make sure feel safe, secure, and most importantly: at home.

Rapha Haven's Children's Residential Services and Semi-Independent Living services both provide high standards of care, accommodation and  supportive environments for residents to thrive in. Our Supported Living provision at Mahogany House is a CQC regulated provision for service users aged between 18-65 years of age and provides personal care. Our children's Residential Care is provided at our Cedar House residence and is for children aged 8-17 years old.

We aim to ensure those we assist can develop and maintain respect, self-reliance and self-care skills which will enable them to make informed, age-appropriate decisions concerning their present and future so they can successfully transition into independence and applicable adulthood. We work on providing structure, support, encouragement and guidance together with emotional warmth. Our staff provide positive role models for the people that we support.

We work, where appropriate, with the individuals or young person’s family in order to assist in improving relationships and actively support them to maintain the positive links in their lives.

We have created a “person-centred” sensitive environment that enables each young person to re-address issues pertinent to their specific needs. We want those  who come to stay with us to have a positive transition experience in a safe and nurturing environment and enjoy life to its fullest potential. We also liaise with external agencies to support the work carried out. This includes drug and alcohol services, advocacy services and CAMH services.

Our Placements

A highly detailed care planning system is operated based on a thorough pre placement assessment. As much information as possible about the service user is gathered to ensure we understand why the placement is being proposed, what the care needs are likely to be, and the likely areas of challenge and work for staff.

    Our Staff Team

All staff will undergo checking and clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)with the appropriate references taken up before they are offered employment. We also provide training and rigorous checks to ensure that they have sufficient skills and knowledge to carry out their duties within Rapha Haven. The staffing team offer a mixture of male and females who have skills to cater for the complex needs of the service users. All staff will have gone through an induction process; there is also further training carried out regularly to enhance the skills and knowledge of the staff to ensure that they are equipped to work with service users who may have complex needs.

    Our Commitment

We are committed to ensuring service users are given every opportunity to live life as independently as they can while working towards gaining full independence. Great care is taken to assess referrals, in particular, any emergency referrals to ensure the correct balance/matching within the existing group of residents is maintained. Rapha Haven operates and is geared towards working with the service user, using the organisation's assessments, care planning and review systems to highlight the areas for working with the service user and specifically the key targets or priorities.

    Our Mission

We want each person to experience the best quality of life they can have in the care setting and hope they find it a rewarding period in their lives. For this reason, we make it our mission to ensure all are valued and are not written off or labelled because of their diagnosis or special needs. We value diversity and seek to enlighten those we work with to see this value too. It is essential that the environment we create is a safe one that promotes change and that part of this is to provide an environment which is both safe and culturally sensitive.
